Work ethic and integrity were important values in her upbringing. She is the first in her family to not only attend and graduate from university but also attend law school. Hard work, resilience, and perseverance are at the core of who she is, and this moral compass has emulated into her practice in going the extra mile to advocate for her clients.
Siarra’s Canadian roots and experience have expanded her skill set and provided the opportunity to recognize the advantage of a local and global lens when considering your business interests, needs and strategy. This awareness and understanding allow her to approach your challenges from a different perspective and deliver out-of-the-box results and solutions.
Siarra is a dual-language attorney with bar membership in British Columbia, Canada and California.
Before earning her J.D. in Canada from the University of Western Ontario, Siarra earned a business degree concentrating on management and organizational studies along with a minor in French studies. Her foundation in business studies allowed her to pursue her passion of the law with a business lens.
In law school, Siarra was a participant at the National Laskin Moot competition as a French-language oralist representing Western Law. She also volunteered with the Family Law Project with Pro Bono Students Canada to assist low-income self-represented litigants draft legal documents.
Before becoming a licensed attorney in California, Siarra was called to the Bar in British Columbia, Canada in May 2020. In Canada, she worked at a regional full-service firm where she practiced in the areas of corporate, commercial, real estate, labor and employment law, and litigation. This well-rounded experience has provided her the ability to understand and analyze a variety of different business interests and needs for various areas.
Leadership, compassion, and inclusivity are important principles Siarra uses in her daily practice, which are demonstrated in her academic and professional career thus far.
As an undergraduate student, she played an active role in the Canadian sorority Delta Psi Delta which promotes kindness and philanthropy within the community. As a sister in her chapter, Siarra was nominated and awarded the Neophyte award by her fellow sisters for her desire to improve the sorority while leading by example. She also served as the Vice President for her chapter. In her spare time, she volunteered with ChicsClic, a weekly mentorship program for young girls from 6th to 8th grade.
As an articling student in Canada, Siarra co-authored a publication for the International Association of Defense Counsel and Private Motor Carrier Magazine regarding COVID-19 and contract law. She also co-prepared and co-presented an educational webinar regarding force majeure clauses and COVID-19 to fellow lawyers, government agencies, and business organizations.
Siarra is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia. She is excited to expand her community outreach in California.
