Shakti is a former business owner who understands what it takes to successfully operate and grow a business. Growing up as a competitive athlete, Shakti developed a strong passion for competition and winning at an early age. His desire to win, plus his unparalleled work ethic and compassion for his clients, has paid major dividends for Shakti throughout his legal career.
Throughout law school, Shakti gained valuable experience in various areas of law, working for the Chilean Ministry of Justice, the Affordable Housing Advocates, private criminal defense law firms, and the San Diego Superior Court. Shakti also worked as a legal research and writing honor’s instructor (tutor) during his final two years of law school where he developed and honed exceptional legal research and writing skills.
After law school, Shakti spent the first two years of his legal career as a plaintiff’s employment law attorney, advocating on behalf of employees in all employment-related matters. During his time as plaintiff’s attorney, Mr. Vadgama successfully negotiated and litigated on behalf of hundreds of clients in both State and Federal courts.
Thereafter, Shakti started his own criminal defense practice where he litigated hundreds of criminal cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to violent felonies. During his time as a criminal defense attorney, Shakti was rated Top 10 in Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of DUI/DWI and Criminal Law Attorneys, has been recognized as a “Rising Star in the field of Criminal Law” by the American Institute of Legal Advocates, and has also received Top 40 under 40 awards from both the National Trial Lawyer and the American Academy of Attorneys.
After over five years of running his own practice, Shakti joined MNK Lawyers, bringing his passion for winning and compassion for clients while representing businesses in both transactional and litigation matters.
Shakti is licensed to practice law in all State and Federal courts throughout California.
